About Data Components

Data Components was started in 2001 when I was in 6th Grade. I decided to give it that name since the programs I wrote were Components for Data-handling. At the time, I used Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, but I switched to Borland Delphi, because Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 wasn't cheap, I didn't know how to program in it, the tutorials and examples weren't very helpful to me, and it was the Introductory Edition. That meant that I would have nag screens in all of my programs and limited functionality within the IDE. When I switched to Delphi, I had more visual control over my programs, the language was very easy for me to comprehend, and even with the personal edition, I had NO NAG SCREENS! Thank you, Borland.
